About Dr. Muntasir Al-Hamad
Dr. Muntasir Al-Hamad is an Associate Professor of Arabic for Non-Native Speakers at Qatar University. With over 15 years of experience in academia, his research focuses on applied linguistics, second language acquisition, and curriculum development for Arabic language learners.
Biography
Dr Muntasir Al-Hamad, FHE (Fellow of Higher Education Academy-UK). He is an associate professor of Arabic at the Arabic for non-Native Speakers Center (ANNS) at Qatar University and served as a visiting professor of Arabic at Georgetown University in Qatar. Before he joined Qatar University, he worked as a lecturer of Arabic and Oriental Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University and served as the director of Amstone Project on Abrahamic Religions at the University of Manchester and later on at Georgetown University in Qatar.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Al-Hamad works as a consultant, trainer, and guest speaker in various educational and non-educational firms, including government institutions, universities, private companies, and publishing houses. His expertise in teaching Arabic as a second/foreign language, Semitic studies, and communication and semiotics are well sought after worldwide. Muntasir has authored a number of books and translated different publications related to his academic interest.
Throughout his career, Dr. Al-Hamad has published extensively on Arabic language pedagogy, contributed to curriculum development, and mentored countless students in their journey to master the Arabic language. His work has been recognized internationally, and he regularly presents at conferences and workshops worldwide.
